M9 Solutions is seeking a Technical Lead (Machine Learning Modeling Experience) to work hybrid/remote/on-site on a government contract for a client located in Washington, DC. An active TS/SCI clearance is required.

Responsibilities



  • Develop technical architecture that supports the development approach.


  • Forecast and outline technical tasks that guide weekly development in support of technical projects.


  • Partner with a government product owner and collaborate with a Data Science Team of 5-8.


  • Work with product teams, solution architects, and DevSecOps engineers to strategize system design and implementation for high availability, performance, and resiliency.


  • Implement, tune, and troubleshoot infrastructure components of the applications (e.g., AWS services, network, OS, PKI).


  • Design and implement containerization resources using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform).


  • Develop and maintain common services and configurations (e.g., logging, SSO, VM images) using IaC tools.


  • Implement automated system management and monitoring capabilities to support resiliency and self-healing.


  • Conduct regular code, configuration, and architecture reviews to ensure technical quality and adherence to best practices.


  • Mentor and oversee junior test analysts to ensure the growth of next-generation technical resources.


Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Ability to be on-site three days a week at a client SCIF in Washington, DC.


  • Active TS/SCI clearance.


  • Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of experience, associate's degree with 6+ years of experience, master's degree with 2+ years of experience, or 8+ years of practical experience in lieu of a degree.


  • Significant experience leading a team in developing applications on AWS platforms, from MVP to production deployment.


  • Hands-on experience developing software in Python (or similar languages).


  • Experience leading the use of Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, AWS CloudFormation, Azure ARM Templates).


  • Experience developing, training, and evaluating AI/ML models.


  • Experience working in secure government networks (e.g., NIPR, SIPR, A-LAN, C-LAN).


  • Experience implementing and/or operating containerized applications.


  • Experience configuring Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).


  • Understanding of PKI and certificate management.


Preferred Skills and Qualifications



  • 2+ years of experience building and maintaining AWS-based systems.


  • Experience incorporating AI/ML models and analytics into cloud products.


  • Experience shepherding prototypes from POC to production.


  • Experience working with AWS Top-Secret Cloud (C2S/C2E).


  • Knowledge of event-based systems and asynchronous message queue infrastructure.


  • Experience working with multiple data solutions (e.g., AWS OpenSearch, NoSQL, Indexed Search).


  • Experience working in a Scrum-based team structure (SAFe Agile 6.0).


  • Experience with AWS services (Lambda, Step Functions, OpenSearch, Data Pipeline), Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible), containerization, certificate management, and code review techniques.
