WHAT YOU'LL DO:
As an IT Developer Intern at TruStone, you'll have the opportunity to help design, build and maintain software applications and systems - all while working alongside knowledgeable professionals! You'll work collectively with members of our Development team to prioritize, plan and implement work efforts as you tackle a variety of assignments, including but not limited to: Designing and developing a user-friendly interface for accessing and managing the CMDB; collaborating with IT and product teams to ensure the interface aligns with organizational requirements and workflow processes; integrating the UI with the underlying Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and ensuring proper data retrieval and display; implementing search, filtering, and reporting features to allow users to interact with the data easily; ensuring the interface is responsive, secure, and optimized for performance; conducting testing and debugging to ensure the platform's stability and functionality; and documenting the development process and providing user training as needed. And, as part of the internship, you'll get to complete at least one key project to enhance your learning experience and highlight on your resume.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
Availability to work 40 hours/week throughout the duration of the internship (10 weeks, from June 2 - August 8, 2025). The schedule will be Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm and this position may be based out of our Plymouth Corporate or Burnsville Administrative Offices.

In addition, we're looking for:

  • Third- or fourth-year college students in active pursuit of a degree in IT, with a focus on Computer Science or Software Engineering preferred, and a grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or above.

  • Experience with back-end development and familiarity with server-side programming languages like Python, Node.js, or Java to integrate the front-end UI with the back-end.
  • Understanding of databases and knowledge of database concepts, including SQL or NoSQL databases, and experience working with databases such as MySQL.
  • API integration skills, with Boomi integration experience preferred. Ability to work with RESTful APIs to connect the UI with the backend and external systems.
  • Version control with Git, BitBucket or other version control systems for code management and collaboration.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Adaptability in a fast, ever-changing environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and diverse environment.
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn new tasks or work in unfamiliar areas.
  • Compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and all its provisions.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and various background checks.
  • Regular and reliable attendance at the workplace.

WHAT WE OFFER:
Along the way, you'll have the opportunity to enhance your skill set in a variety of areas, to include:

  • Gaining familiarity with creating intuitive, user-centered interfaces.
  • Having exposure to cloud platforms like Boomi, Azure, Microsoft Dynamics or Power Apps, etc.
  • Understanding of ITIL or other ITSM frameworks would be a plus, especially regarding configuration management (CMDB).
