The Role
The Vice President of Residential Sales is a pivotal member of the Waterworks Leadership team, responsible for overseeing the company's entire residential sales channel. This encompasses US showrooms, the wholesale businesses, international showrooms, and other key sales-driving roles such as Client and Business Development. This position demands a strategic and results-oriented leader with a proven track record in sales management. A deep understanding of the luxury residential trade market, its clientele, and the ability to drive substantial growth and profitability through appropriate change and effective leadership are essential.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership:
  • Develop and execute organizational strategies to firmly establish Waterworks as the premier provider of luxury bath and kitchen products.
  • Identify and implement client marketing and sales management strategies, measured by account analysis, that deliver substantial growth across the residential channels.
  • Allocate resources appropriately across mature and developing growth channels and markets.
  • Client Marketing:
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key influencers, including architects, designers, builders, owners, and other high-value clients.
  • Set and track measurable marketing & conversion goals for channel & market management, ensuring accountability for achieving these targets.
  • Provide guidance to generate growth from new & lapsed accounts, while expanding share in low share, high potential accounts.
  • Develop and maintain strong cross-functional partnerships with corporate marketing, product groups, and services to enable client marketing and growth.
  • Work closely with the Commercial channel to develop client relationships and close business.
  • Sales Management & Performance:
  • Ensure alignment with overall company objectives and address performance gaps proactively.
  • Cultivate a winning team comprised of top talent. Develop, coach and mentor talent, and where appropriate, install talent required to deliver goals.
  • Adopt appropriate compensation plans to reward successful delivery of channel strategies.
  • Manage the channel's profitability.
  • Account Planning & Analysis:
  • Leverage data analysis to identify growth opportunities, optimize sales strategies, and enhance market share.
  • Proactively identify areas for improvement in brand awareness, client penetration, and project sales.
  • Actively participate in the planning and development of the company's open space initiative.
  • Lead the development the company's sales management applications in partnership with the technology strategy and development teams.
Requirement
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum 10+ years of successful sales leadership experience within a luxury brand environment, with multi-unit experience highly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience working in the interior design industry with a strong understanding of the Waterworks clientele
  • Proven expertise in consultative sales methodologies, including exceptional presentation, negotiation, and closing skills
  • A proven track record of utilizing data analytics to drive account and sales management decisions
  • Exceptional leadership, coaching, and team-building skills
  • Results-oriented with a strong sense of urgency and the ability to make sound, decisive decisions
  • Excellent communication, prioritization, and organizational skills
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, cross-functional environment
  • A strong desire for professional growth and the potential to assume future leadership roles within the company.
  • Required travel (up to 50% travel)
Base plus generous bonus potential.

Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.

Waterworks may require physical requirements within its Showroom locations as follows:
Ability to lift and mobilize small to medium items up to 25 lbs. while utilizing appropriate equipment and techniques. Ability to maneuver effectively around showroom floor, stock room and office. Position could entail periods of standing, twisting, stooping, kneeling, squatting, bending and climbing. Licensed to drive preferred. Ability to travel locally or out of state.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, pull/push, climb and balance, and to be elevated up to 20 feet in the air on harnessed equipment. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 110 pounds with assistance from one other Associate and use of proper technique. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
