Position Responsibilities

Reporting directly into the Vice President of Sales, the Director of Sales will be responsible for managing a small team of Account Executives who specialize in selling ERP and Project Accounting Software to mid-sized government contractors. You will play a crucial role in driving sales growth, developing strategic sales plans, and ensuring the success of your team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Account Executives to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth.
  • Provide Account Executives with coaching to help enhance sales skills, while actively engaging in Sales cycles to add value and progress sales opportunities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Help team develop large volume of new business opportunities and expand the customer base.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Sales Development teams to create and execute lead generation campaigns.
  • Stay ahead of industry and competitive trends in order to build a team who is industry fluent and seen as thought leaders in this space
  • Provide regular monthly and quarterly forecasts to leadership.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree required. (preferably in a related field)
  • Extraordinary software sales acumen (10+ years) preferrable within the GovCon industry or ERP space.
  • Proven experience in a sales leadership role (minimum 5+ years), preferably in the software industry.
  • Sales Management Experience in one or more of the following: GovCon, Federal, ERP, SaaS Sales.
  • Exceptional organizational leadership skills - strong written and oral communication skills; builds customer, vendor and employee relationships, at all levels; treats people with respect
  • Experience interacting and presenting to C-level executives
  • Practices a disciplined process for developing talent on an ongoing basis
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans.
  • Results-driven with a track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Proficient in leveraging technology such as Salesforce, LinkedIn, SalesLoft, Allego, Vidyard, and GenAI

Compensation Information

The U.S. On-Target-Earnings (OTE) for this position is $228500.00 - $400250.00. This range is subject to change as Deltek takes a number of factors into consideration when determining individual base pay, such as location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including incentive compensation and equity.
