DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will conduct complex, highly publicized, or sensitive investigations on a routine basis. Work involves travel to various sites, utilizing standard accounting and auditing principles and methods, and making routine decisions for assignments both during independent work and when acting as the team leader regarding normal joint audit activities. This includes but is not limited to reviewing the initial complaint to determine the relevant issues, establishing an audit plan, interviewing the appropriate persons, gathering the needed evidence, and presenting the issues in clear, concise written reports. Discretion and effective communication skills are paramount for keeping the identities and locations of interviewees and evidence obtained in executing duties confidential, and for testifying at formal and informal hearings as needed. You will also be expected to assist with the training of less experienced staff and attend training sessions to maintain and expand you own knowledge and skills. - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as an Auditor 1; or
- One year of auditing experience and four years of accounting and/or additional auditing work; and fifteen (15) college level credits in accounting; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training which includes fifteen (15) college level credits in accounting and one year of auditing experience.
Other Requirements:
- This particular position also requires possession of a valid Class C Driver's License.
