Job Summary
This position reports to the Cost Accounting Supervisor. Individual will support day to day Cost Accounting and departmental activities. These includes coordinating with Cost Accounting and Operations to understand transactions and provide first level analysis to ensure data supports accuracy of inventory and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS). Will also support Cost Accounting Team and Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) in data gathering required for forward looking Plans and Forecasts on and off cycle. This position will perform ad hoc analysis and support various ongoing audits.
Roles & Responsibilities
This position has responsibility for:
* Creating data for review of variance analysis and Operations and Finance meeting
* Coordinating with Supply Chain to obtain component costs
* Updating Standard Costs and Bills of Materials in ERP System
* Supporting data requirements for period end closing reconciliations, analysis and reporting
* Supporting audit requirements and field requests
* Participating in ongoing process improvement efforts
* Populating established models with relevant data to calculate the "what".

Minimum Qualifications (Experience and Skills)
* Typically requires 0 to 1 year of relevant experience
* Understanding of Accounting Principles
* Ability to gather and interpret transactional data
* Ability to record manual financial entries in ERP system
* Accuracy in updating standard costs in ERP system
* Effective utilization of MS Office tools including MS Excel and Word
Preferred Qualifications
* Ability to interact with peers and accounting department management
* Ability to complete projects on time and change priorities as needed
* Ability to work in a cohesive team with common goals
* Some hands-on Cost Accounting experience
Education Requirements
* B.S. in Accounting, Economics, Finance or Business, or equivalent combination of education and experience
