Senior Automation Test Engineer (Remote) Location: Parsippany - NJ Required Skills Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent related work experience. Over 6+ years of IT experience focused on QA software testing Should have work experience on tools like HP ALM, Database DB2, Oracle, SQL server Expertise in at least one automation testing framework (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Appium) Programming languages Java/Python selenium, Postman, JMeter, Mainframe Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integration Roles and Responsibilities * Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices * Familiarity with test automation frameworks and tools to optimize testing efforts. * Lead and mentor a team of Automation QA engineers, assigning tasks, providing feedback, and coaching team members. * Exposure to Mainframe testing * Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript) * Excellent communication and collaboration skills * Leadership and mentoring abilities * Develop comprehensive test strategies aligned with project requirements and goals. * Create detailed test plans, including test cases, test environments, and test schedules. * Identify and prioritize testing risks, ensuring critical areas are adequately covered. * Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and translate them into testable scenarios. * Oversee the execution of manual and automated tests across different platforms and functionalities. * Monitor test progress, identify and report defects using bug tracking tools. * Analyze defect trends and work with development teams to prioritize bug fixes. Salary and Other Compensation: Applications will be accepted until 02/19/2025. The annual salary for this position is between [$53,477 - $92,500] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
