Cloud Technical Architect

Responsibilities:

  • Build trusted relationships with clients, internal account teams, and VMware/AWS partners to identify and address their cloud migration and modernization needs.
  • Advise customers on industry trends, cloud security, compliance, and emerging technologies to enable secure and scalable AWS-VMware cloud solutions.
  • Lead the design and architecture of end-to-end cloud migration strategies, leveraging AWS and VMware technologies to modernize client environments.
  • Conduct technical discovery, assessments, and proofs of concept to define cloud strategies tailored to customer needs.
  • Ensure solutions are compliant with security best practices and align with Accentures delivery standards.
  • Act as the technical subject matter expert (SME) for AWS, VMware, and cloud security-related engagements.
  • Conduct client-facing demos, workshops, and enablement sessions to showcase cloud migration best practices, including IaC (Infrastructure as Code) and CI/CD pipeline integration.
  • Support implementation teams by providing hands-on guidance.
  • Work in a co-sell model with sales teams to position Accenture as a leader in cloud adoption and migration.
  • Collect and deliver customer feedback to enhance Accentures cloud offerings, aligning with VMware and AWS product roadmaps.
  • Support post-migration adoption by guiding clients on operational best practices, cost optimization, and cloud governance frameworks.
  • Stay updated on Accentures cloud methodologies, industry standards, and VMware/AWS advancements to ensure successful client outcomes.

This is a hybrid role in Atlanta, GA

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with AWS, VMware, or related cloud migration projects, including planning, execution, and support phases
  • Proficient in AWS and VMware hybrid cloud technologies, including VMware Cloud on AWS (VMC) and VMware HCX
  • Hands-on experience with IaC tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible.
  • Proficient in CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD) and their integration in cloud-based environments
  • Expertise in cloud security (e.g., IAM, encryption, network security, and compliance frameworks)
  • Experience implementing cloud migration solutions using VMware vSphere, NSX, or vSAN with AWS-native services

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience i.e.. military experience
  • 3+ years of cloud and/or cybersecurity sales experience.
  • AWS: AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate/Professional, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional
  • VMware: VCP, VCAP, or equivalent VMware certifications
  • Relevant certifications for IaC and CI/CD tools
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
  • Strong background in cloud-native security tools (e.g., CSPM, CNAPP, and CIEM)
  • Familiarity with modern cloud operating models, including FinOps, DevOps, and cloud cost optimization

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York or Washington as set forth below.
