Position Overview: The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the accounting department. This role ensures the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of financial reporting, timely and accurately billing our clients, while maintaining compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies. The Accounting Manager will lead a team of billing and accounts payable staff, oversee month-end and year-end close processes, and collaborate with other departments to support financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Analysis:



  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  • Analyze financial data and prepare reports for senior management to support decision-making.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting


Supervision and Leadership:



  • Supervise, mentor, and train accounting staff to ensure accuracy and adherence to accounting principles and policies.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members, ensuring their professional development and growth.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Supervise the billing process ensuring all invoices are sent out accurately and in a timely manner.


Month-End & Year-End Close:



  • Oversee the monthly and year-end close processes, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
  • Review balance sheet accounts and assist in resolving discrepancies.
  • Coordinate the preparation of year-end financial statements and reporting.


Budgeting and Forecasting:



  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis to management.
  • Recommend adjustments to improve financial performance and efficiency.


Internal Controls & Compliance:



  • Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and financial regulations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain accounting procedures and controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to compliance standards and identify areas for process improvement.


Accounts Payable and Receivable Oversight:



  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to ensure accuracy and timely processing.
  • Resolve escalated issues related to billing, payments, and vendor relationships.



Collaboration and Communication:



  • Work closely with other departments such as finance, operations, and management to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives.
  • Communicate financial results and provide recommendations for improving financial performance.



Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's degree or CPA preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
  • Proven experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, etc.) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
