SCOPE OF POSITION: The objective of the Media Coordinator is to take photos and videos of all weekly activities, produce weekly rewind videos and promotional materials, create daily chapel service slides, and operate all sound/video equipment.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
* High School Graduate or equivalent required.
* At least 2 seasons of camp experience or youth work equivalent required.
* Have a valid Driver's License.
* Must be at least 18 years of age.
* Prior leadership experience required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
* Ability to take high-quality photos and videos of all daily activities and organize all video/photo files by day/week.
* Ability to communicate with all necessary staff to ensure any campers that do not have a photo release are not included in photos or videos at any time.
* Ability to create unique, fun, and engaging weekly rewind videos, promotional materials, and social media posts.
* Ability to properly operate all computer, projection, sound, and a/v equipment across the site.
* Ability to produce all media needed for chapel services.
* Responsible individual with a desire to work with youth, teens, and young adults.
* Must possess leadership skills, with the ability to plan, organize, and execute special programs.
* Detail oriented.
* Self-starter.
* Team player.
* Strong use of the English language in verbal and written communication.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain poise under pressure.
* Strong analytical skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Foster and nurture Christian faith and discipleship in visible, fruitful ways in, and with campers and staff.
* Encourage respect for personal property, camp equipment, and facilities.
* Develop and maintain positive working relationships with all staff, volunteers, and campers.
* Encourage adherence to camp & Salvation Army policies and procedures.
* May be required to serve as Break Day Supervisor at times during the season.
* May be requested to drive or accompany hospital transport of camper or staff.
* Participate and/or assist in all summer camp programs as required e.g., chapel, staff meetings, campfire, camp-wide games, night-watch, free-time, electives, rise and shine duty, etc.
* Ensure and assist in the cleanliness of your living quarters and outside areas.
* Perform any other duties as assigned by the Camp Director or DYCS.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT:
* Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, hike, and twist continuously for up to 15-20 minutes.
* Ability to grasp, push, and pull objects such as files, and file cabinet drawers, and reach overhead.
* Ability to lift to 25 lbs.
* Physical ability to respond to a variety of situations. Must be able to assist campers in an emergency (fire, evacuation, illness, or injury) and possess the strength and endurance required to maintain constant supervision of campers.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
* There may be phone and in-person contact with people from diverse backgrounds who may be angry, hostile, confused, or frustrated.
* May be required to work in all areas of camp including, but not limited to the kitchen, dish room, laundry facility, and grounds.
* The ability to work in a distinctively Christian environment.
* Possible exposure to communicable diseases.
* Work outdoors, sometimes in inclement weather.
* Works around dust, odor, and high noise levels, and bodily fluids

MISCELLANEOUS:
The Salvation Army does have a dress code. This will be shared with you at the time of employment.

The candidate chosen for this position will be required to pass a motor vehicle record check. They must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
