The department of Imaging and Imaging Sciences at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center offers a wide spectrum of imaging services including diagnostic, ultrasound, breast imaging, CT, MRI, nuclear medicine/PET exams as well as interventional procedures. What YOU can expect in the MRI Quality & Training Specialist role:




  • You will be expected to have in-depth knowledge of MRI protocols, safety metrics, MRI specific equipment
  • You will be responsible for training in other modalities such as Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, Mammography, Diagnostic, Interventional Radiology, Computed Tomography, with a primary focus in MRI
  • Train and educate technologists on new protocols, workflows, and practices that align with hospital and regulatory standards
  • Lead
  • Work closely with modality supervisors to maintain up to date employee files in the categories of certifications, licensure, competencies, and training
  • Enhance safety standards by performing assessments, conducting investigations to gather information, developing a safety plan and provide feedback on workflow practices
  • Participate and attend multi-entity/multi-departmental meetings as assigned
  • Create and maintain dashboards and auditing metrics to ensure high-quality service and to maintain and develop innovative processes
  • Perform quality audits and analyze data for best practice road maps

Minimum Qualifications:




  • Bachelor's Degree in Radiological Science, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or closely related field
  • Three (3) years expereince as a technologist
  • Bachelor's Degree may be substituted for equivalent years of experience
  • Experience in training, quality control, or data analysis is preferred
  • ARRT (MRI) certification

  • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.) and Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong skills in task prioritization, solid public speaking for project/data presentations
  • Develop creative training strategies using innovative ideas
  • Capacity to handle multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously that aligns with our JHM core values and strategic plan
  • Strong communication skills

Salary Range: Minimum 35.93 per hour - Maximum 59.32 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
