General Summary of Position
The Physician Services Liaison provides receptive and concierge services to physician and advanced practice providers; builds and maintains relationships with physicians / physician practices (employed and community) and cultivates opportunities to enhance utilization of the MedStar Health on-call system. Facilitates collaboration between community physicians, MedStar employed physicians, administrators, and associates. These functions are performed in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and MedStar Health philosophy, policies, procedures, and standards.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Acts as a liaison for MedStar Health and credentialed community physicians to ensure their on-call schedule is correct.
  • Facilitates collaboration between MedStar Health physicians, credentialed community physicians, service line administrators and staff to enhance and encourage an atmosphere of teamwork.
  • Builds relationships with credentialed community physicians' practices and works to meet physician needs as they arise by site visits.
  • Triages, tracks, and reports physician inquiries ad issues to appropriate parties.
  • Coordinates with appropriate MedStar Health staff to identify new physicians and assist in the orientation process. Ensures proper onboarding to on-call product, access and familiarization of processes and systems is accommodated.
  • Designs and plans in conjunction with the Director Physician Relations physical and procedural improvements for the lounges and services offered to physicians.
  • Provides on-site concierge and administrative support to physicians and practices and acts as a resource to aid in accessing their department information, MedStar services and more.
  • Encourages and maintains confidentiality in all interactions with physicians and providers.
  • Maintains professional appearance and conduct as established by the system and department service.
  • Follows up on specific questions or areas of interest and/or concerns expressed by physicians. Maintains effective recording system to document calls, responses, and activities.
  • Maintains spreadsheet for monthly catering charges and monthly budget tracker to ensure department is being charged accurately.


  • Minimum Qualifications
    Education

    • Associate's degree required

    Experience

    • 5-7 years progressively more responsible job-related experience required and
    • Project management experience preferred

    • Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service.
    • Ability to solve and resolve complex problems.
    • Ability to exercise appropriate independent judgment with complex and/or multi-faceted situations.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to effectively work with all levels of internal and external customers.
    • Working knowledge of MedStar Health products and services.
    • Advanced knowledge of various computer software applications and online learning applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.

    This position has a hiring range of $23.19 - $40.61
