Job Description:

We are seeking a Test Engineer to join our team in Manassas, Virginia. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing test plans to prepare training systems for delivery, performing system verification testing, and providing technical expertise to customers and internal teams. This position plays a key role in ensuring the reliability and functionality of advanced defense systems. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in AN/BYG-1 Combat Control Systems and SWFTS community operations, along with a strong background in hardware installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. This is a full-time position based in Manassas, Virginia. U.S. citizenship is required, and candidates must have an active Department of Defense Secret security clearance at the time of hire.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Developing and executing test plans to prepare training systems for customer delivery.
  • Conducting system verification tests at customer sites to support system acceptance and delivery.
  • Instructing users on system operation and maintenance while providing technical expertise to customers and internal teams.
  • Supporting system design and development by attending operational demos at partner locations.
  • Installing, configuring, testing, maintaining, and troubleshooting development hardware.
  • Supporting the design and implementation of hardware infrastructure.
  • Maintaining hardware inventory and documenting configuration changes.
  • Supporting analysis of power and cooling requirements for server room sustainment.



You'll need to have:

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance at the time of hire.
  • Expert knowledge of AN/BYG-1 Combat Control System.
  • Experience working with the SWFTS community.
  • Significant experience with installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network and computer hardware.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
