Responsibilities

This position will support the Sponsor's Cyber organization, which is responsible for Risk Management and Cyber Security Response. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Maintaining a strong awareness of technical trends in information technology, develop and maintain a strong awareness of on-going IT projects, and business unit requirements; be able to apply project management principles to efforts within scope.
  • Preparing required documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation.
  • Providing technical direction and advice to government.
  • Assisting in establishing standards for information systems procedures.
  • Performing functional analysis, timeline analysis, cost estimation, trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications/recommendations.
  • Conferring with clients regarding the nature of the information processing or computation needs a computer program is to address.
  • Consulting with management to ensure agreement on system principles.
  • Analyze and study complex system requirements.
  • Developing analytical and computational techniques and methodology for problem solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance in software engineering techniques and automated support tools.
  • Presenting at formal meetings and boards.

Qualifications

  • Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
  • A degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a scientific or technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of core project management processes, frameworks, methodologies, and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, etc.)
  • Ability to analyze requirements and document them appropriately in a knowledge management repository.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with third parties and internal staff at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to convey technical information to non-technical individuals.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work independently, self-starter.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity operations, incident response, information systems, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools, e.g., Splunk), logging standards and related topics.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python).
  • Familiarity with cloud architectures.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and challenging environment.
  • Knowledge of computing design concepts and implementation.
  • Knowledge of network defense monitoring tools and systems.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and challenging environment.
  • The ability to analyze systems, including forensically, for malware, misuse, and/or unauthorized activity.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Ability to provide technical cyber security guidance.
  • Ability to create complex system designs, resolve engineering problems, and propose preventative strategies.
