*Description*
Senior Systems Administrator/Technical Architect Public Trust with the ability to Obtain and Maintain a DOE Q Clearance (U.S. Citizenship is required) Piketon, Ohio 4/10s with 3 days needing to be on-site, more if needed Responsibilities include: - Provide primary support and management of the IT server infrastructure and hosted systems. - Support first-tier technical staff with the resolution of more complex issues related to software tools, applications, databases, and system access. - Analyze and resolve hardware and software problems for end users, with primary emphasis on server-related issues. - Support System Administration of primary VMware platforms across the site, among other technologies - Provide troubleshooting support for IT staff. - Recommend hardware and software solutions to meet end user and IT needs. - Support Cyber Security compliance and audit preparation in coordination with the Cyber Security Team. - Consults with internal departments to identify customer needs and include into both operational and project objectives. - Remain conversant with the industry's computer security technology and practices with technical skills and applicable experience with related technologies. - Define and document best practices and support procedures. What Sets You Apart: Bachelor's degree in computer science and at least 5 years relevant experience. An additional 5 years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree, with four or more of the technical categories listed below. - Microsoft Windows and Server Operating Systems; - Oracle, RHEL & Linux Operating Systems; - VMWare Horizon View, vCenter, vSphere; - Microsoft SCCM, System Center Suite and Patch Management, - Microsoft 365, EntraID and Exchange Hybrid environments - Active Directory; - SAN Infrastructure; - Disaster recovery/contingency planning; - DFS Namespace and Replication, - DNS, DHCP; - Microsoft Certificate Authority, SSL certificates, KMS licensing - Dell Wyse Management - Experience working in a fast paced environment with competing priorities. - Consults with internal departments to identify customer needs and include into both operational and project objectives. - Remain conversant with the industry's computer security technology and practices with technical skills and applicable experience with related technologies. *Skills* Windows, System administrator, Powershell, Public Trust, office 365, saas, Azure, Cloud, Windows administration, Windows server *Top Skills Details* Windows,System administrator,Powershell,Public Trust *Additional Skills & Qualifications* DOE Lot of windows exp, mostly windows environment Older technology modernization- initiative for cloud first, so will be moving some items over (what they can with classifications) Outlook and 365 are in cloud, Teams and others will be hybrid approach but ideally fully cloud in next couple yrs SaaS approach Not using Azure hardware but using their software 1 remote day a week Powershell exp is nice, someone to build and automate scripts, big plus Sys admin team is 5 but entire IT team is 24 for this program- includes help desk, user support, networking (only 2 people), telecom, apps and DB Net new role- due to additional to the contract *Experience Level* Expert Level *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
