Function: Maintenance Job Summary:This position is accountable for providing technical/maintenance planning support to maintenance department for the rotating and fixed plant assets. The Maintenance Planner - Rotating Equipment is responsible for planning daily maintenance work and long-term project work in a correct and efficient manner. The Maintenance Planner - Rotating Equipment will work in the plants Work Management Information System (WMIS) system to plan jobs for execution by the maintenance technicians and welders, which includes preparing job packages, and ordering parts for the specific job. Other tasks include, but are not limited to analyzing a technical problem, field checking, specifying applicable equipment, developing cost and scheduling estimates. Position Requirements 1. Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from an accredited university with two years of industry experience, or a construction management degree with two years of industry experience, A certified Journeyman Millwright or a Fully Qualified Maintenance Technician or equivalent having 5 years working experience as a maintenance technician in an industrial/chemical setting. Previous planning or supervisor experience is preferred. 2. Solid communication skills including the ability to effectively converse, compose written documents and interact effectively with peers and supervisors. 3. Strong analytical, troubleshooting and decision-making skills 4. Strong knowledge of fixed, rotating, and mechanical equipment including but not limited to: pumps, compressors, steam turbines, heat exchanges, piping, motors, large industrial fans, gear boxes, valves, and safety devices. 5. Strong knowledge of welding principles is preferred. 6. Have good general knowledge of PC software applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook and able to adapt to WMIS system and other planning tools. 7. Results oriented and initiative 8. Good interpersonal skills combined with the ability to work as a team player. 9. Must be able to climb towers and enter confined spaces and the ability to lift 50 lbs. 10. Able to identify needs and opportunity and work independently to achieve goals 11. Ability to provide directions to and work with others to achieve the desired outcomes 12. Requires being capable of handling several projects and support activities simultaneously 13.
