The Strategic Division (SD) supports high-reliability organizations including Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP), Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, and the Department of Energy (DOE), among others. Our support across our client base is expanding rapidly and encompasses important services, such as data analytics and visualization, threat analysis, risk management, modeling and simulation, cost estimating, earned value management, program management, system engineering, independent evaluation, and High Consequence Event prevention.

SPA's Strategic Division's Strategic Development Group (SDG) supports critical U.S. government programs providing Systems Engineering support, Systems Safety support and Financial Analysis support. The position is in support of the U.S. Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP).

SPA has an immediate need for a Military Operations Analyst in Washington, DC (Maritime Plaza).

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are commensurate with experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.Washington D.C. Pay Transparency: $125,000 - $160,000 per year.



Responsibilities

Support Navy SSP in planning, coordination, and execution of Systems Engineering, Operational Analysis, and Program Management activities supporting the Sea-Launched Cruise Missile-Nuclear (SLCM-N) Program. Support project teams executing the systems development, operational analysis, CONOPS development, requirements development and program analysis tasks required to develop the SLCM-N missile system and integrate it into fast attack submarines. The successful candidate will work across SPA and other organization contributing to the Systems Engineering processes, and be responsible for the system level operational requirements analysis, fleet integration analysis, human system interface definition, and SSN operational impact analysis.



Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree.
  • Active SECRET or higher DoD security clearance.
  • 15+ years of experience as a Submarine Officer including experience with the Tomahawk (TLAM) weapon system.
  • Strong Communication skills with experience briefing senior/executive leadership on projects, system concepts, or design decisions.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and execute workload to meet requirements and deadlines and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment conducting analysis with uncertainties or incomplete data.
  • Capable of breaking down complex issues into simplified problem statements and laying out objective approaches to identify and compare the merits of competing solutions.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with Nuclear Weapons Programs and Operations.
  • Experience in supporting multi-discipline working groups.
  • Experience with Nuclear Tomahawk (TLAM-N) operations.
  • Experience on a TYCOM, Fleet, OPNAV, SECNAV, or Joint Staff.
  • Active DoD TOP SECRET security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or another STEM field.
  • Master's Degree in a related field.
