Job Summary:

The Human Resources Generalist provides support in the Human Resources (HR) department reporting to the Manager, HR Operations and supporting assigned HR Business groups. This position also acts as the department's training administrator, maintaining training systems, and ensuring Supernus is compliant on all required state and federal trainings. This position may change over time as the Department continues to grow.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:



  • Employee Change Processing and Employee Records:

    • Processes all promotions, employee changes and terminations through the required systems and ensuring all necessary parties are informed of the employee change.
    • Proactively reviews work to ensure that all changes have been made correctly in the system.
    • Ensures all paperwork is filed within employee's file record (currently paper but moving to electronic)
    • Working with Manager, HR Operations on all file room and file retention projects.
    • Provides data for SOX audit requests in their specific area under the direct supervision of management.


  • Training and Development

    • Tracks corporate training and coordinates the grant programs through the State to ensure Supernus is utilizing those programs for grant funds.
    • Coordinates and tracks all annual training (Anti-Harassment, Diversity, CA Supervisor, etc.).
    • Maintains training systems ensuring they are up to date.


  • HRIS and Employee Data

    • Generate and analyze reports using HRIS and other relevant technology systems to support business needs.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee data across multiple technology platforms by performing regular system updates, audits, and reconciliations.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to address and resolve system discrepancies in employee records.
    • Assist in the implementation of HRIS features.
    • Respond to and assist employees with questions or issues related to HRIS access, navigation, and functionality, ensuring a positive user experience.


  • Employee and HRBP Support:

    • Researches and resolves entry to mid-level employee policy questions, escalates complex or other policy issues to other department team members as needed.
    • Processing policy-based paperwork for Manager, HR Operations and HRBP's, once signed and ensures they are filed in employee files. This includes but is not limited to, Tuition Reimbursement, Training and Development, Telework, Work Adjustment, Cell Phone, AMEX, and other documentation such as legal.
    • Works with Commercial Operations as needed to ensure field sales employees have their credentialing documents for access to certain institutions.


  • Employment Verification and Unemployment Claims

    • Responds to all employment verifications and preparing letters of employment verification for management to sign; works with payroll if payroll data is needed to fulfil the request.
    • Responds to unemployment claims and ensures they have accurate separation data in partnership the Human Resources Business Partners.


  • Project Support:

    • Supports Manager, HR Operations and HRBP's other projects as assigned within HR Scope.
    • Works with management on improvements in orientation, HRIS and other areas of HR.


  • Department Support:

    • Other duties and projects as assigned.




Non-Essential Duties & Responsibilities:



  • May provide support in other areas of Human Resources based upon Department capacity.
  • May provide suggestions and recommendations regarding HR processes, procedures, and company policies.

Knowledge & Other Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of three years of direct related experience; or High School Diploma and six years of direct experience.
  • Prior experience with creating and reviewing large sets of data preferred.
  • Prior experience with HRIS administration preferred.
  • Knowledge of compensation and employment laws; The willingness to keep up to date on these laws.
  • Experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry preferred.
  • Ability to understand and follow SOX 404 controls.
  • High attention to detail: the ability to process data with minimal errors.
  • Strong analytical skills: the ability to draw reasonable conclusion from data to make recommendations.
  • Excellent communication, spelling, and grammatical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to use technology to create survey's graphs, and data analysis.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. At least intermediate MS Excel skills and the willingness to become an expert user.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment/Travel Requirements:



  • Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or carry objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; and extensive reading.
  • The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.


Compensation:

At Supernus, we offer a competitive compensation package that reflects your experiences and contributions. The expected salary range for fully qualified candidates applying for this role is $65,000 to $80,000. This range is what the Company reasonably expects to offer for the position and is not reflective of the full compensation scale of the role. This range may be modified in the future. An individual's salary within the range is based on multiple factors, which may include and are not limited to education, relevant experience, knowledge, length of industry experience and organizational needs.

Base salary is one part of the overall compensation package, which includes the opportunity to participate in employee stock purchase programs and performance-based bonus programs.
