Editorial and Content Development Specialist

Key Role:

Leads the development and editorial management of content for a government research and development client that reflects its exciting role in advancing energy technology. Ensures that all communications are aligned with the client's strategic objectives and maintain high standards of quality and accuracy. Maintains oversight over all written content - digital and print - to ensure technical clarity and strategic alignment with agency messaging, and manages editorial processes to ensure content is consistent in tone, style, and adheres to agency brand guidelines. Collaborates with agency technical staff to ensure complex content is accessible to diverse audiences, including academia, industry, and policymakers, and leads content audits to identify gaps and ensure the messaging is reflective of agency strategic objectives. This position is located in Washington, DC.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in editorial management, content strategy, or technical writing
  • Experience managing large-scale content projects and editorial workflows
  • Experience with editorial standards, content management systems (CMS), and SEO best practices
  • Knowledge of technical content development
  • Ability to translate complex technical language into accessible formats
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • Master's degree in an English, Journalism, or Communications field

Advanced Qualifications:

  • Experience in a consulting environment
  • Experience with Drupal
  • Knowledge of the energy industry
  • Possession of excellent client service skills
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

Vetting:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $54,000.00 to $123,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
