Following recipes prepares food for patients/residents. Employees, cafeteria patrons and medical staff. Works under direct supervision.

Minimum Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent GED effective August1, 2019
• Good interpersonal skills required to meet and service the public.
• Good communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to speak and read the English language
• Possess and maintain a current City of Kansas City, MO, City of Independence, Jackson County, or Clay County Food Handler's Permit as appropriate for location of work; if the permit is not possessed upon hire acquires the required permit within 30 days of employment.
• Must be able to follow a recipe, use scales, and operate large kitchen equipment.
• Must be able to blend twist, stoop, push and lift large containers of hot food.

Preferred Qualifications

• One-year experience in preparation of large quantities of food using standardized recipes.
