Description Our client's Cloud FinOps team drives centralized cloud spend management processes with the goal of lowering the unit cost to deliver the highest business value of using the public cloud. This includes developing data driven insights to understand cloud usage and cost, provide solutions for application teams to make decisions to optimize cloud performance, and influence cloud efficiency. Monitor and manage cloud spending across multiple cloud platforms (primarily AWS and limited Azure) to ensure cost efficiency Develop and maintain cloud budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support strategic decision-making * Develop AWS (and Azure equivalent) Reserved Instances (RI) recommendations and communicate with team members to gather feedback and dispositions; Exp Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities, including rightsizing, reserved instances, and savings plans Utilize Apptio Cloudability tool and AWS Console to identify savings opportunities Generate detailed financial reports and dashboards to provide insights into cloud spending and usage patterns Build communication channels to share and track the savings of each savings opportunity recommendation developed by the FinOps team Work closely with Engineering, Finance, and Operations teams to align Cloud spending with business objectives Establish and enforce cloud cost management policies and best practices Skills Cloud Optimization, FinOps, CloudAbility, Efficiency Top Skills Details Cloud Optimization,FinOps,CloudAbility,Efficiency Additional Skills & Qualifications Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in cloud financial management, FinOps, or a related role Proficiency in cloud cost management tools, like IBM Cloudability * Experience with Apptio Cloudability (or equivalent) FinOps tool Knowledge of Cloud platforms (AWS and Azure) and their pricing models Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field Preferred Qualifications: Experience with financial modeling and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI) Familiarity with cloud governance frameworks and best practices FinOps Certified Practitioner or similar certification * Bonus Points - Experience with Microsoft PowerBI dashboard development Experience Level Intermediate Level Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $73.00/hr.
