What You'll Do

We are seeking a dynamic Principal Investigator/Research Pharmacologist specializing in neuropharmacology to join our team. If your research explores the impact of drug abuse on neuroinflammation and cognition-or tackles cognitive deficits caused by neurodegenerative disorders-we want to hear from you. Together, let's transform scientific insights into novel treatments that improve lives.

  • Lead and expand externally funded research programs.
  • Mentor and guide junior scientists while serving as a technical area expert.
  • Advance ongoing projects through collaborative research efforts.
  • Share your findings through peer-reviewed publications and scientific presentations.

What You'll Need

  • PhD, MD, or DVM with postdoctoral experience in pharmacology, biology, biochemistry, pharmaceutical science, physiology, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with experimental models of neuroinflammation and cognitive impairment caused by drug abuse or neurodegeneration.
  • 5+ years as a principal investigator, study director, or in a similar role.
  • Passion for drug discovery and development.
  • Proven ability to foster strong relationships with peers, collaborators, and clients.
  • Exceptional writing and speaking skills to convey complex scientific concepts.

The anticipated pay range for this role is listed below. Our pay ranges represent national averages and may vary by location as a geographic differential may be applied to some locations within the United States. RTI considers multiple factors when making an offer including, for example: established salary range, internal budget, business needs, and education and years of work experience possessed by the applicant. Further, salary is merely one element to our offer.
