TSC's Airborne Intelligence, Surveillance, & Reconnaissance (AISR) is currently seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer in Arlington, VA, Dallas-Fort Worth, TX, Dayton, OH, Raeford, NC, or remote with an educational and/or industry focus in the design of mission applications, user interfaces, and embedded, real-time software applications. In this role, the candidate will develop full stack software applications in support of new radar and electronic warfare technology.

Responsibilities:

This position requires a flexible individual with experience in rapid, new product development. TSC's AISR team is chartered with integrating new products and leveraging technology across TSC. This team is responsible for rapid development, demonstration, and capability rollout. This position requires an individual familiar with all phases of product development and deployment to include changing requirements, hardware, software, and mechanical integration dependencies, field testing, and configuration management. The individual in this position needs to design and implement modular software that supports a product line with different features and at different levels of maturity.

  • Full Stack application development of web-based user interfaces and backend applications, services, communication protocols, and API frameworks

  • Implementation of real-time command and control, data acquisition, normalization & management of data, inter/intra-process communications, and intelligent mission planning & execution

  • Support all phases of detailed system and subsystem development activities for applications, including upfront analysis, prototyping, end item development and evaluation in laboratory and field test environments

  • Sustainment of software development environment across multiple ARM and x86 based platforms

  • Work within a multi-discipline team of systems, hardware, mechanical, software, and firmware engineers to build complete solutions and products

  • Hands-on lab testing of electronics hardware and software - Experienced with test equipment (power supplies, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers) and software debugging tools (GDB, WireShark, Visual Studio, etc)

  • Analysis of measured data from laboratory and/or field testing. Comparison of expected performance or truth data to actual measured performance

  • Lead by example to enforce software architecture, design, implementation, and test methodologies

  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team locally and across physical locations

  • Work with product owners and software team to define and implement iterative software releases to meet customer deliverables

Required Qualifications:

BS in Computer Science (or related field) and minimum 5 years of experience in industry

Experience with the following areas is required:

  • Developing intuitive user interfaces from prototyping through to implementation

  • Developing and maintaining micro service software applications and REST APIs

  • Sensor/Payload integration experience

  • Node.JS and/or Python application development

  • Web based user interface development using React or similar framework

  • Linux software development

  • Iterative / Agile software development

  • Software development across multiple physical sites

  • IP networking experience

  • UDP/TCP/WebSocket communication protocols

  • Possess excellent organizational and communications skills

  • Able to prioritize work and maximize productivity

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a TS DoD Clearance.

  • U.S. Citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with the following areas is desired:

  • Developing visualization and analysis and/or mission planning software applications

  • Radar, signals intelligence, and/or electronic warfare product development

  • Integrating payloads and sensor systems into command and control applications

  • Geospatial mapping frameworks such as MapBoxGL, Leaflet, Google Earth

  • Python and Jupyter Notebook

  • Git, Artifactory, and Jenkins

  • NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and AWS/cloud deployment of applications

  • Virtualization using VMs and Docker

  • ATAK/WinTAK and Cursor on Target (CoT)

  • Windows application development (Visual Studio w/ C#)

  • Wireless communications protocols (WiFI, Cellular, AIS, ADS-B, etc)

  • Providing customer support CONUS and OCONUS

  • Field testing in austere locations
