Posting Summary |
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Senior Program Coordinator for the School of Social Work. The Senior Program Coordinator reports to the Assistant Director of Online/Blended Practicum Learning. This position provides primary support for practicum processes for the Blended and Online Master Social Work (
MSW) programs.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Oversees coordination of practicum processes for online and blended MSW programs.
- Works closely with students in the online and blended MSW programs to assign practicum both in NJ and across the country.
- Supports the placement experience throughout the entire program, including problem resolution.
- Develops and maintains new relationships with practicum agencies.
- Coordinates practicum liaisons in the online and blended MSW program.
- Supports training for practicum instructors and liaisons.
- Handles document management (student and agency information), data entry, updating database with agency and student information, setting up practicum course shells, and regular communication to practicum instructors, liaisons, and students.
- Performs various other tasks as assigned to support the online and blended programs.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Social Work or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Two (2) years of relevant experience.

Certifications/Licenses |

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities |
- Knowledge of practicum education.
- Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to embrace working collaboratively.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and to multi-task.
- Knowledge of Social work curriculum in general.
- Familiarity with social service agencies in NJ or elsewhere.
- Experience with Canvas, MS Office, database programs.

Preferred Qualifications |
MSW Degree from a CSWE accredited program.- Three (3) years of post MSW experience.
- NJ licensure, (LSW or LCSW) and experience as a practicum instructor or liaison.
