As a SUPERVISOR, DISTRIBUTION CENTER, you will be trusted with the warehouse and distribution activities to ensure the efficient and economical utilization of facilities for storing and distributing finished goods responsibilities within the JOHNS CREEK DISTRIBUTIUON CENTER, GEORGIA (US).

As a Supervisor, Warehouse & Distribution Management, you are responsible for overall shift operations and performance measures of a high performance team based unit. Will lead up to 30 personnel in an effective and efficient team environment; will ensure that safety, quality, productivity and team goals/targets are met. Will provide effective problem identification and solution using statistical data while ensuring compliance to ISO, GMP and FDA regulations. Lead team to promote teamwork and to meet business objectives (safety, quality, productivity and team goals/targets). This Includes hiring, training and maintaining competent staff that fosters a team environment. Develop workforce through coaching, feedback, recognition, counseling, reviews and discipline. Provide effective communications with workforce, other shifts and management at the Johns Creek, GA, US (Distribution Facility)

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Ensures that all associates are adhering to all policies and procedures pertaining to safety.
  • Manage various distribution activities (e.g., receiving, stocking, pulling orders, pulling replenishments, etc. Planning, directing, and monitoring staff and resources to meet established safety and quality standards and productivity metrics.
  • Review and analyze warehouse capacity. Collect and interpret information on present and future distribution needs for planning purposes.
  • Coordinates special distribution efforts to achieve new product introduction.
  • Supervise the receiving and storing of finished goods.
  • Oversee the inspection of incoming goods for conformity with order and for defects/damages during transport. Arranges for segregation of product due to quality holds.
  • Arranges for inventory reviews and reconciles book inventories with physical counts.
  • Liaising with Manufacturing, Supply & Logistics, etc. as input to developing delivery schedules and allocating labor/capital resources
  • Planning, prioritizing, and managing downtime due to equipment or training requirements to minimize disruptions.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs; Assoc.+6yrs; M.S.+0 yrs)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
  • 2 Years of Relevant Experience
  • 1 Years of Demonstrated Leadership
  • Work hours: 2nd Shift - Monday through Friday from 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm
  • Travel Requirements: 0 to 10%

  • Experience in a Distribution environment.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience.
  • Strong communication skills.
