Open Rank Per Diem General Dentistry Faculty (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor)

Job Summary:

The University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine invites qualified applications for clinical per-diem faculty positions to support our predoctoral comprehensive dentistry program. Candidates must demonstrate excellence in general dental practice. Prior teaching experience and/or advanced training in general dentistry is preferred, but not required.

Examples of work performed

The duties for this faculty position include clinical teaching and mentoring of students. The overall allocation of responsibilities is determined by the Restorative Department Chair based on department and School of Dental Medicine needs, along with other appropriate considerations.

Minimum Qualifications:

This is an open rank position and could be categorized as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor based on experience and qualifications as indicated below:

There are several factors that will impact the rank including previous or current rank, years of experience, and years licensed. Determination of rank is done based on the interview of the individual candidate

Assistant Professor - Clinical

• DDS/DMD degree from a CODA accredited US Dental School or foreign equivalent.
• Eligible to be licensed in Colorado
• Experience in treating all aspects of clinical care within the scope of general dentistry, including general restorative care, removable and fixed prosthodontics, implant restoration, oral diagnosis and treatment planning, simple oral surgery, simple endodontics, and radiographic interpretation. Experience with digital applications is desired, but not required.

Associate Professor - Clinical

• DDS/DMD degree from a CODA accredited US Dental School or foreign equivalent.
• Eligible to be licensed in Colorado
• Experience in treating all aspects of clinical care within the scope of general dentistry, including general restorative care, removable and fixed prosthodontics, implant restoration, oral diagnosis and treatment planning, simple oral surgery, simple endodontics, and radiographic interpretation. Experience with digital applications is desired, but not required.

Professor Clinical

• DDS/DMD degree from a CODA accredited US Dental School or foreign equivalent.
• Eligible to be licensed in Colorado
• Experience in treating all aspects of clinical care within the scope of general dentistry, including general restorative care, removable and fixed prosthodontics, implant restoration, oral diagnosis and treatment planning, simple oral surgery, simple endodontics, and radiographic interpretation. Experience with digital applications is desired, but not required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of a CODA approved General Practice Residency or AEGD program.
• Advanced training or clinical concentration in specific area within the scope of general dentistry, including esthetics, digital workflows, occlusion, etc.

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as $59.38-$62.50/hour for per diem positions for general dentists.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt
