Job Description:

The Production Supervisor, Sr. is responsible for safely managing steel processing operations, maximizing equipment usage, increasing labor productivity, and monitoring continuous improvement initiatives. This position will oversee all aspects of plant operations including equipment, facility, maintenance, and shipping/receiving. This person functions as a key member of division leadership and interacts with various departments, vendors, and external customers.

Qualifications:

• 
  
  
  
  • 5+ years of experience managing in a heavy industrial environment; metals experience preferred
  • Experience with metal fabrication/machining
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, ISO, and quality management systems
  • Skilled in formulating policy and developing/implementing new strategies and procedures
  • Knowledge of engineering processes, inventory management, and customer service
  • Ability to meet productivity, cost and quality targets stated in the fiscal plan
  • Working knowledge of budgets and financial statements
  • Actively promote professional development of team and key employees
