Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Electro-Mechanical Technician for the Field Maintenance Activity (FMA) supporting the Army Division. FMA provide support to the Warfighter with the capability of determining shortcomings and malfunctions in electronic, electrical, mechanical and electro-mechanical circuit elements, gyroscopes, sights and fire control components and perform sustainment level adjustments and repairs of components to specific tolerances.

LOCATION: Redstone Arsenal

JOB STATUS: Full Time

TRAVEL: 15%

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • High School
  • 5 Years of experience in any Military Occupational Series SHORAD or Ground-based weapon systems or material maintenance specialties.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance (U.S. Citizenship is required for all applicants)

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Must have experience and expertise in providing developmental system testing support for the Integrated Air Missile Defense IAMD weapon system, SHORAD, and or Ground-based missile systems.
  • Must possess a working knowledge and ability to understand and interpret system functioning of the Integrated Battle Command Station IBCS functionality used in an Army common S-280 shelter, or other tactical missile system layouts or designs.
  • Must be able to understand and interpret various wiring diagrams, schematics, technical and commercial manuals for power, signal interconnections, ancillary equipment and power generation equipment.
  • Must be able to determine shortcomings and malfunctions in electronic, electrical, mechanical and electro-mechanical circuit elements, gyroscopes, sights and fire control components and perform sustainment level adjustments and repairs of components to specific tolerances.
  • Must have a working knowledge of the Army Materiel Maintenance Management principles and policies to monitor, conduct, and document organizational, operator, or sustainment level maintenance performed or rendered.
