Job Summary:
The Department of Medicine, Division of Allergy, Pulmonary and Critical Care, is seeking a candidate who will assist with asthma research in the Samarasinghe laboratory. Asthma is a common complex syndrome of the airways that we mimic in laboratory animals so that we can study the impact of respiratory infections on asthma. The Samarasinghe laboratory focuses on delineating mechanisms of lung immune responses during fungal, viral, and bacterial infections. Understanding the immune mechanisms at play during these infectious diseases leads to opportunities to develop novel therapeutics. Responsibilities: Conducts research experiments with limited supervision. Provides technical support with some degree of independence for research projects and/or labs under moderate supervision.
