Summary

Within MaineHealth's ambulatory pharmacy program, the Neurology Specialty Clinical Pharmacist will be a part of our Neurology program. In this role, the pharmacist will provide medication therapy for Multiple Sclerosis, Migraine, Seizure disorders, Tardive Dyskinesia and other Specialty Neurological related diagnosed patients. The position will be based full-time within an active MaineHealth Neurology office that is currently based in Scarborough, Maine. The clinical specialty pharmacist position will be focused on providing high quality direct patient care, including but not limited to clinic and telehealth visits. A dedicated Neurology Specialty Pharmacy Technician will be supporting this position.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: The Clinical Pharmacist role reviews medication orders for safe and effective medication use; collaborates with physicians and other health care personnel to achieve optimal patient outcomes; and formulates recommendations based on current literature and evidence-based practice.
  2. License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license with Board of Pharmacy required.
  3. Experience: Previous pharmacist experience preferred.
