Position Summary

Position Title: Project Manager (Contingent Upon Award)

Location: Remote (with periodic support to the DC office location)

Clearance Requirement: Public Trust with MBI. Requires US citizenship.

Position Overview:

Impyrian is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead and oversee a critical IT contract for a government client. The role involves managing the planning, execution, and performance of contract tasks, leveraging Agile methodologies to ensure efficient delivery and alignment with client goals. The selected candidate will also be key in risk management, process improvement, and quality assurance across all project activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Agile Project Management:

* Provide Agile Project Management support in alignment with PMI standards.

* Conduct Agile fast cycles on a bi-weekly basis and incorporate Agile planning and reporting throughout contract tasks.

* Use Agile methodologies for all software development initiatives.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

* Monitor contract task performance, identifying and notifying stakeholders of risks and deviations as they arise.

* Provide weekly status reports by close of business Friday for project and operational tasks.

* Deliver dashboards and statistical reports every Monday, detailing weekly progress, process deviations, and policy exceptions.

Operational Oversight:

* Plan, manage, and participate in all contract tasks, projects, and operations as needed.

* Organize, direct, and coordinate the planning and production of all program and project activities.

* Actively apply quality assurance measures to ensure the highest standards of project and program management.

Process Improvement:

* Implement process improvements based on internal and external audit findings and recommendations.

Stakeholder Engagement:

* Meet regularly with client management, other managers, and client agency representatives to ensure alignment and address challenges.

* Provide critical support to the Director of Security and Technology Programs for all contract tasks.

Audit and Compliance:

* Support internal and external audit activities to ensure contract compliance and continual improvement.

Qualifications:

Educational Background:

* Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Management (IM), Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent with 8 years of technical experience, including 6 years in IT Security at a senior management level.

* Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in the same fields with 12 years of experience, including 8 years at senior levels.

Certification:

* PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required.

Technical Expertise:

* Demonstrated experience with Agile methodologies, software development, and project monitoring in fast-paced environments.

* Knowledge of tools such as SharePoint, Oracle database applications, Tableau, and Section 508 compliance solutions (e.g., JAWS or WAVE).

Preferred Qualifications:

* Agile/SCRUM Certification with 5+ years of experience leading Agile projects.

* Experience supporting cybersecurity programs, robotic process automation (RPA), and UI Path.
