Enterprise Strategy Intern As a Summer Intern, you will support our Enterprise Strategy function and work alongside your hiring manager, mentor, and team to complete tasks critical for Northwestern Mutual's success. The Enterprise Strategy team provides analysis and guidance to senior leaders in setting and communicating the multiyear enterprise strategy and evaluating progress towards multiyear strategic objectives. During your internship, we will help you both identify and continue to develop your future career goals and passions. Job responsibilities include: * Support development of materials and analysis related to enterprise-level priorities and objectives * Development of research briefs and/or presentations on competitor and consumer trends, informing the enterprise on the life insurance market at large * Collaborate with individuals and teams across the strategy function and business at large * Special projects and general analyst support with ad hoc requests from across the Strategy department. Minimum qualifications: * Incoming junior or senior preferred * Pursuing a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university * Cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher * Employer immigration sponsorship is not available for this role Preferred Skills and Proficiencies * Critical Thinking and Problem Solving: ability to critically and logically evaluate costs, risks, and benefits of alternatives before coming to a solution * Collaboration and Networking: ability to work effectively within and across groups of individuals, identifying areas of common ground and establishing partnerships * Research, Writing, and Presentation: ability to find and evaluate relevant source materials and distill information into key points; effective written and verbal communication skills * Attention to Detail and Balancing Multiple Responsibilities: ability to prioritize tasks, complete projects efficiently, and deliver high-quality work * High degree of self-motivation, passion, and a drive to learn * Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook Next Steps We encourage you to apply! Northwestern Mutual pays on a geographic-specific salary structure and placement in the salary range for this position will be determined by a number of factors including the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; the scope, complexity as well as the cost of labor in the market; and other conditions of employment.
