Our team is seeking a Waste Services Manager for Environmental Restoration Disposal Facility (ERDF) and Integrated Disposal Facility (IDF) Operations providing the technical expertise to maintain the radionuclide inventory, waste acceptance criteria, supplemental waste acceptance criteria, and DOE Order 435.1 Radioactive Waste Management requirements.
Primary duties of a Waste Services Manager include, but are not limited to:
* Management of ERDF and IDF waste services program and personnel. * Compliant implementation of the requirements set forth in the ERDF and IDF waste acceptance criteria (WAC), supplemental waste acceptance criteria (SWAC), and performance assessment (PA). * Implementation and Oversight of the ERDF and IDF Waste Services program, including management of the waste profile development/management, reviewing and approving Onsite Waste Tracking Forms (OWTFs), and assuring proper data management in the waste management information System (WMIS) database. * Reviewing waste profiles/designations for the acceptability of waste designated to be disposed in ERDF for compliance with the AB, WAC, SWAC, and PA requirements including oversight of the waste acceptance processes. * Independently or as a team lead, plan and perform implementation activities for safety basis documents including revision of project compliance matrices and procedures. * Performing assessments, as scheduled, of facility compliance with ERDF and IDF waste acceptance criteria (WAC), the USQ process and safety basis implementation.
Basic Qualifications
* Manager Grade 20 - Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience plus 8 years of relevant experience.
* Manager Grade 21 - Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience plus 10 years of relevant experience.
The higher posted level has greater scope, complexity, authority, impact. The level offered to the selected candidate will be based on the needs of the company and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience.
Desired Qualifications
* Experience with hazardous or radioactive waste handling. * Experience with Washington State and Federal environmental regulations (WAC, RCRA, CERCLA, and TSCA), waste management, and radiochemistry. * Experience approving shipments (e.g. Onsite Waste Tracking Form, Waste Management Information System) to mixed low-level waste disposal facilities. * Experience with the preparation of DOE Order 435.1 Radioactive Waste Management Annual Summary Reports and Unreviewed Disposal Questions (UDQ) screenings and evaluations for low-level waste disposal facilities. * Experience in management/supervisory experience working with mixed low-level waste disposal facility waste acceptance and DOE Order 435.1 Radioactive Waste Management. * Experience implementing nuclear safety requirements in 10 CFR 830 and DOE-STD-1027, including facility hazard categorization, safety analysis development, authorization basis compliance/maintenance, technical safety requirement compliance, radiological inventory control/tracking, and management of change process.
Compensation & Benefits
In accordance with the CPCCo salary determination process, CPCCo takes into consideration the level of assigned job duties and responsibilities, and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience relative to internal peers and the external labor market. CPCCo will not solicit salary history for candidates.
Expected annualized pay range based on full time schedule (40 hours per week):
* Grade 20: $129,063 - $162,688.
* Grade 21: $142,038 - $179,113.
In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for variable pay awards.
