Your Role on the Team

Position Summary:

The Senior Enterprise Data Architect plays a critical role in bridging business needs with advanced technical solutions to support UCIH's strategic and operational decision-making processes. This role ensures the development and implementation of analytics solutions are fully aligned with Industries good practice, and Information Technology Services (ITS) standards.

The incumbent designs and delivers data-driven solutions with a focus on business value, flexibility, scalability, and high performance, providing actionable insights that empower financial, clinical, and operational decision-making. The role also fosters a culture of data innovation, collaboration, and governance to ensure high-quality, sustainable outcomes.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong track record of successfully leading technical data strategy, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of modern cloud enterprise data warehouse platforms to support analytics including data science and AI on one of the cloud platforms like MS Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • Proven experience collaborating with stakeholders across multiple teams within a large healthcare enterprise.
  • Must possess the skills, knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
  • Must be willing and able to work occasional weekends and evenings as needed
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience developing and maintaining technical documentation within a centralized code repository and database modeling tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Broad knowledge of business processes, including financial, clinical, and operational requirements of health systems.
  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in architecting, developing, deploying, and supporting complex data and analytics applications in medium to large-scale healthcare data warehouse environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong preference for experience using any one of the cloud-based technologies such as MS Azure, AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, and GCP.
  • Expertise in mapping data from systems such as Strata, API, Kronos, Oracle ERP, Kuali Finance system, and EMRs like Epic, Cerner, and Athena, as well as integrating data from other third-party vendor applications and handling large file transfers across internal and external systems.
  • Experience working in an academic hospital in the role of Enterprise Data Architect or an equivalent position.
  • Experience in understanding the healthcare privacy and regulatory laws not limiting to HIPAA, HITECH, PCI etc.,
  • Ability to work effectively in an agile team structure, with hands-on experience using agile tools such as Confluence, JIRA, and MS Teams.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with ETL tools like Matillion, DBT, Talend, Informatica, and MS Factory.
