We are seeking a highly skilled Junior Power Apps Developer to join our team at Fort George G. Meade, MD. This hybrid role requires the candidate to reside within a commutable distance of the location and be able to work onsite 1-2 days/week. The ideal candidate will have experience with Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI, and will be able to deliver intuitive, dynamic, and secure solutions that meet the business needs of our stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Power Apps Development & Management:
- Design and create intuitive Canvas
Power Apps with user-friendly interfaces tailored to specific business needs.
- Leverage advanced Power Apps
features such as formulas, controls, and data connections to build dynamic, functional applications.
- Integrate data from various
sources, including SharePoint lists, Excel workbooks, SQL servers, and Dataverse to enable seamless functionality within the app.
- Develop and maintain detailed
documentation, including standard operating procedures, design documents, and user guides, for various user roles (customer users, admin team users, and developers).
- Test applications thoroughly to
ensure high performance, data integrity, and an excellent user experience.
- Manage the deployment of Power
Apps to production environments and provide ongoing support, including troubleshooting, issue resolution, and updates.
- Implement and manage security
measures within Power Apps to control user access and data privacy, utilizing SharePoint lists, Microsoft Groups, or Power Apps functions.
- Use Power Automate to integrate
Power Apps with other business processes and automate workflows.
Power BI Reporting & Dashboards:
- Plan, build, and deploy reports
and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI, enabling business decision-makers with actionable insights.
- Connect various data sources,
perform data modeling and visualization, and design scalable, advanced analytic capabilities that provide business value.
- Assist in creating training
materials and conducting training sessions for end-users on using dashboards and reports effectively.
- Develop and manage a dashboard
data archive to track historical trends and key metrics.
- Collaborate with leadership and
stakeholders to develop new reports and visualizations based on project data, ensuring easy-to-read summaries for program status, resource requirements, and execution tracking.
Additional Duties & Responsibilities:
- Create and baseline various
reports associated with automation data, leveraging tools such as MS Project, MS Project Server, MS Project Online, Power BI, Power Query, and the broader Power Platform.
- Support automation policy
publishing, including drafting documentation, briefings, desk guides, and presentation templates.
- Assist in decision support for
briefings by creating visualizations and reports from data sources to enhance decision-making capabilities.
- Provide hands-on training and
support to users, addressing any questions and improving their proficiency with developed solutions.
- Perform other related duties as
assigned.
RequirementsEducation & Experience Requirements:
- Experience: 1-3 years
of experience developing Power Apps, including Canvas Apps, Model-driven Apps, and Power Apps Portals.
- Education: Bachelor's
degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
Clearance & Citizenship Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Must be able to obtain an Interim
DoD Secret Clearance prior to starting. A current DoD Secret Clearance is preferred.
Certification Requirements:
- Must meet DoD 8570 IAT Level I
certification requirements, or be able to achieve compliance within 2 months of joining.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Power
Platform: Demonstrated experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
- SharePoint Expertise: Strong
understanding of SharePoint permissions, access controls, and integration with Power Apps.
- Agile Development: Experience
working in an Agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions quickly and efficiently.
- Communication Skills: Excellent
verbal and written communication skills for engaging with stakeholders, presenting solutions, and providing updates.
- Business Process Understanding: Ability
to analyze business processes and workflows, translating them into effective Power Apps solutions.
- Training & Support: Capability
to provide hands-on training and user support, ensuring effective use of developed solutions.
- Organizational Skills: Strong
attention to detail, ensuring that all tasks are well-documented and executed according to best practices.

- Must reside within a commutable
distance of Fort George G. Meade, MD, to work a hybrid onsite schedule.
Compensation
- This is a direct hire position
with an anticipated salary range of $90-130k.
