Description

This position serves as the program specialist within the Career and Professional Education group. The position contributes to the administrative operation within Career and Professional Education (including contract administration, meeting planning, website updating, and customer service) Additionally, the position works closely with internal and external customers to collate, create, and distribute data reports and provide editorial review of updated Career and Professional Education content for delivery The position contributes to Division- and Society-wide initiatives that advance ACS learning opportunities and the value of these opportunities for current and prospective members. The incumbent reports directly to the Assistant Director, Career and Professional Education.

Position accountabilities include:



  1. Provide administrative program management support including invoice processing, contract processing, event planning, and customer service.
  2. Support the content updates of CPE training products.
  3. Update website content across the various platforms and ensure accuracy of content
  4. Obtain and provide reporting information across the PPS produced by the office
  5. Supports the Assistant Director, Career and Professional Education with other activities of the unit, Division, and Society as needed. This includes activities that advance ACS learning opportunities and the value of these opportunities for current and prospective members and customers.
  6. Represents the Society at ACS Spring/Fall, regional, and local section meetings, and at meetings external to ACS.


DC-based: This role is based in our Washington, D.C. office. A reasonable rate of compensation for this position is between $71,000-$97,000 per year.
