Role Overview
Responsibilities:
* Machinist required to repair, maintain, install and make improvements to chemical processing equipment and machinery (includes pumps, agitators, fans, centrifuges, etc.).
* Ability to fabricate to exact tolerances using lathes, drill presses, grinders, and other shop equipment
* Execute preventive maintenance program
* Calibrate, align and make adjustments to production equipment
* Work hours are Mon. - Fri., 8 hour days (40 hours/week) with occasional overtime
* Available for call in on off hours as needed to make equipment repairs
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and maintenance software tools. Qualifications include:
* HS diploma
* Field machinist or millwright training and demonstrated experience
* Mechanical equipment repair training and/or demonstrated experience: pumps, mechanical seals, agitators, gear boxes, fans (bearings, sheaves), alignment
* Able to work in confined spaces
* Able to work from heights from a ladder or man lift
* Demonstrate effective analytical troubleshooting skills
* Able to read and interpret mechanical/machine drawings
* Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
* Excellent safety record - places safety and environment as top priority in all work
* Knowledge of Lock Out / Tag Out
* Good communication skills - daily communications with maintenance planner, technical staff and operations as needed.
* Good team player - willing be flexible, work in other areas and with other trades as needed. Minimum Education Level and experience:
