The Role:

We are looking for our next Hydro Operator within our Production Team. The Hydro Operator will be responsible for ensuring safety within the department, operating and optimizing hydrogenation processes, and performing environmental and housekeeping tasks. It requires working in high heat and with hot liquids and steam, often outdoors, while monitoring processes unique to Roquette. Minimal supervision is needed to maintain operations.

This position is located our Gurnee, IL location.

Compensation:

The current salary range for this role is estimated to be $26.00/hour. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation. The specific compensation offered to a candidate will be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

What You'll Do:

  • Wear designated PPE and ensure safety, environmental protection, and product quality.
  • Participate in Process Safety Management (PSM) and work rotating shifts as scheduled.
  • Qualify on the Hydrogenation Operator position and be certified to drive a forklift.
  • Operate processes remotely via Foxboro DCS and conduct routine tours and inspections.
  • Perform manual operations, such as handling catalysts and operating valves.

What You'll Need:

Education:

  • High School diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in Manufacturing environment preferred

Work Environment

  • 100% in the plant environment

Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to speak or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk, climb stairs, use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms; work in hot, cold and loud environments. Employee must be able to wear a respirator.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs
  • Must be able to work in high heat and humidity
