MaineHealth is currently seeking a Peer Review Program Manager (RN) to develop, implement and administer a system-wide peer review program. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of quality improvement initiatives with FPPE/OPPE experience in addition to Peer Review.

This position has remote/hybrid opportunity (local to Maine) with availability to travel between MaineHealth across Maine and New Hampshire.

Summary:

The Manager - Peer Review Program is responsible for the development, implementation, and administration of a system-wide peer review program encompassing focused/ ongoing professional practice evaluation, triggered quality of care events, and professionalism of providers on the medical staff(s) throughout MaineHealth. This position utilizes statistical tools, benchmarking resources, performance measurement, and other resources to determine trends, identify opportunities for improvement and lead change of medical staff quality and clinical privileging within MaineHealth.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education:Bachelor's degree required.
  2. License/Certifications:Registered Nurse license required. Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM), Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) AND/OR NAHQ Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) preferred.
  3. Experience:5 years of experience in an operational improvement role, preferably in Quality, and/or Patient Safety.
  4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required:Current knowledge of and successful application of risk management and regulatory agency requirements/standards, along with experience with electronic medical record and occurrence reporting systems.
  5. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred:Demonstrated working knowledge of The Joint Commission, CMS, and Department of Health standards. Experience with previous accreditation surveys and in the application of Peer Review Program principles.
