DESCRIPTION OF WORK The position entails evaluating inventory needs by conducting assessments of stockpiles and managing contractor operations to ensure they adhere to departmental guidelines. Complex issues are referred to the Roadway Programs Coordinator, who is tasked with ensuring that the work is accurate, comprehensive, and in compliance with the relevant policies and procedures. Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Overtime, shift work, and travel may be required for emergencies and training. Dual Shifts required during winter operations. Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year of experience as a Technical Assistant; or One year of experience in analysis of data utilized in planning and scheduling of work, materials and equipment and graduation from high school or GED equivalent; or An Associate's Degree in a field of Business Administration, Computer Science, Highway Engineering Technology or other closely related program; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training. Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree. Other Requirements: Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Berks, Carbon, Lehigh, Monroe, Northampton, or Schuylkill counties.
