HDR is hiring an Interior Design Coordinator II to join our Florida Architecture/Interiors Studio.


Primary Responsibilities

As directed by and with supervision of project senior designer and/or architect:



  • Complete assigned drawing redlines within hours allocated.
  • Coordinate assigned design work with project team members.
  • Actively participate in a collaborate, multidisciplinary project team environment that includes architects, interior designers, engineers, and contractors.
  • Research and select product materials, furniture, and finish samples to meet project technical specifications, budget, and aesthetic.
  • Prepare renderings for client presentations, either by hand or with 3-D computer-aided software.
  • Prepare finish presentations for client meetings, either with physical sample boards or virtual slide show imagery.
  • Assist with preparing responses to consultant, contractor, or owner questions.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant design firm environment
  • Demonstrates solid design thinking and strong knowledge of design fundamentals as expressed by their college portfolio.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and must be able to clearly present and explain a design concept to supervisors and peers.
  • Self-starter and team player
  • Solid working knowledge of software such as Revit, AutoCAD, the Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp/ Rhino (or similar), Bluebeam and Microsoft Office
  • A strong desire to learn about and to progress through the interior design profession is critical.
  • Must be working to fulfill the required employment hours to sit for the NCIDQ examination.
  • Healthcare Interior Design experience

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
  • Relevant internship experience
