Role/Responsibilities/Qualifications

Stellar Solutions is seeking a Sustainment Engineer to provide critical operational integration support to a space system ground segment. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth transition and sustainment of a soon-to-be-operational system. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to track and manage system defects and support tier-level help desk transitions at major ground locations.

In this role you will:

    Provide day-to-day integration and sustainment support for a complex space system ground segment
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of system operations to ensure seamless performance during the transition to operational status
  • Maintain and track system defects reported by users
  • Utilize tools such as ServiceNow/HelpNow for tracking, resolution, and reporting of system issues
  • Coordinate defect reviews and participate in weekly Defect Review Board (DRB) meetings, including scheduling, agenda creation, and minute documentation
  • Support the development and implementation of tiered help desk structures
  • Collaborate with teams at major ground locations to ensure effective help desk operations and user support
  • Assist in the development of user guides, operational procedures, and training materials to enable efficient system usage
  • Establish and execute sustainment strategies, policies, and schedules
  • Coordinate and facilitate Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings to manage and implement system changes

Required Qualifications:

  • Active and current TS/SCI with CI Polygraph
  • Demonstrated experience in sustainment engineering or a related field, with a focus on operational systems, defect management, and ground system support
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow or similar tools; familiarity with space systems and ground operations
  • Proven ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams across diverse operational environments

Develop and implement sustainment strategies, policies, and schedules that ensure long-term system reliability while fostering proactive user engagement to optimize operational performance. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of a cutting-edge space system, blending technical problem-solving with strategic impact in a mission-critical environment.
