POSITION SUMMARY:

As the Shipping Clerk, you will be responsible for processing a high-volume logistics/supply chain operation to ensure on time deliveries, consistent high-quality service and customer satisfaction. You will maintain accurate record keeping of all operational documents.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Arrange and process domestic and international shipping requests utilizing Starship Software and other necessary means (LTL, Freight). Provide tracking information as requested.
  • Close Manufacturing Orders prior to processing shipments, and manually adjust according to reported material quantity usage.
  • Pick Stock Orders as assigned and necessary. Assist finishing in order packing and completion.
  • Maintain and provide Accounting with all closed shipment and manufacturing orders for accurate invoicing.
  • Ensure operating and quality standards are met based on service objectives.
  • Maintain proper record management procedures. Assist with the follow-up audit and shipping of documents received post-closing.
  • Support financial results by minimizing site waste and rework.
  • Adhere to all Federal, State, Local and Company safety and security regulations and policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School degree or equivalent required.
  • Knowledge in receiving inspection procedures and familiar with large volume of small packaging required.
  • Proficiency with MS Office is required
  • Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.
  • Maintain the highest levels of customer care while demonstrating a friendly and cooperative attitude.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work hours are generally during normal business hours and average at least 45 hours a week. May require some additional hours as business needs dictate. Must be able to lift and move objects up to 75 pounds consistently with heavier weight necessary at times. Consistent and regular attendance required.
