Bring your cooking talents and kitchen management skills as a Cook at Arthrex Academy managed by Bright Horizons. You'll plan menus, prepare meals, and order inventory as you make a real difference in the lives of children, families, and staff.

This beautiful, state-of-the-art center - along with brand new kitchen facilities - will open in mid-March 2025, with the kitchen staff joining the team for training in early March. The anticipated schedule for this role is Monday through Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm.

Responsibilities;

  • Plan and prepare nutritionally balanced meals for children and staff.

  • Keep an accurate inventory of supplies and place orders as needed.

  • Manage all aspects of prepping and preparing meals, as well as cleaning and complying with sanitation requirements.

Qualifications:

Candidates must pass required state and company background checks, and meet state and company minimum education and experience requirements:

  • At least 18 years of age with a high school degree or GED required, culinary education preferred

  • Relevant experience working in a licensed child care center, public school, or commercial kitchen required

  • Food service permit as necessary to meet state licensing requirements

Physical Requirements:

This position requires the employee to comply with all applicable federal, state, local, Bright Horizons', and client site requirements concerning immunizations, employment physical/screening, and health and safety training. If hired, you will work in person in an early education/preschool child care center to provide supervision, care, curriculum delivery and services per Bright Horizons' policies, procedures and guidance, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations, and in a manner that will ensure the safety of children in Bright Horizons care and the employee.

Salary/Hourly Rate and Other Compensation Disclosures:

The hourly rate for this position is between $15.80 and $21.40 per hour. The pay range listed here is what Bright Horizons in good faith anticipates per hour for this job opening. Actual compensation offers within this range will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education and training, certifications, geography, and other relevant business or organizational factors.
