Sunoco LP is a leading energy infrastructure and fuel distribution master limited partnership operating across 47 U.S. states, Puerto Rico, Europe, and Mexico. The Partnership's midstream operations include an extensive network of approximately 9,500 miles of pipeline and over 100 terminals. This role has a current pay range of $165,000 - $180,000. The listed pay range represents the company's good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum base rate of pay for this position at the time of this posting. The selected candidate's compensation will be determined based on their work location, qualifications, relevant experience, operational needs, demonstrated performance over time, and internal pay alignment.

Position Summary:

Provide leadership and support to region locations and functions in matters related to environmental, health, safety, pipeline, cultural, and operational excellence. Responsible for managing day-to-day HSE field compliance; correlating and auditing operational activities against current permits; compliance with all environmental permitting requirements; OSHA safety compliance program; providing accurate and comprehensive health, safety, and environmental training requirements for the operational group.

Major Accountabilities:

* Manage HSE field compliance teams in respective region.

* Implement HSE policy and procedures to ensure field compliance.

* Manage auditing of field operations against permits and other permissive documentations provided by agencies, federal, state or local governments.

* Manage OSHA safety program, including PSM-based safety program, industrial hygiene, medical surveillance, safety recognition, training, environmental compliance management programs, etc.

* Ensure completion of day-to-day environmental activities, waste disposal, agency notifications, agency inspections, compliance reporting and recordkeeping.

* Represent company in regulatory and customer inspections, meetings and information requests.

* Minimize civil and criminal environmental liabilities through communications and negotiations.

* Impacts multi-million-dollar environmental budget; including permitting, consulting, pollution control, and waste handling.

* Support regional field operation in all HSE matters.

* Multi-department interaction on HSE issues.

* Promote continuous HSE improvement in all field offices through incident investigations, lesson learned, and best practices.

* Communicate field compliance to management (Regional and Corporate).

* Lead the implementation and maintenance of region and facility-specific compliance calendars.

* Ensure maintenance of facility response, integrated contingency, and various other required response plans throughout the region.

* Backup West Region HSE Team members when required.

* Budget, allocate, and accrue resources for the function.

* Ensure accurate and appropriate correspondence with local, state, federal governments as well as industry partners and customers.

* Ensures completion of West Region HSE Team compliance activities and coordinating response to emergency spills and incident investigations.

* Other related duties may be assigned.

* Travel 25% when needed.

* Must live within one hour of the terminal on the West Coast.

Education Requirement:

* Bachelor's degree in environmental science or related field required.

* Multimedia Environmental services with emphasis in California, Washington or Oregan is highly recommended.

Experience Requirement:

* Minimum 10 years of directly related professional experience, with at least 5 years of supervisory experience required.

* Proven negotiation and problem-solving skills leading to decision making required.

* Proven leadership of company peers and supervisor experience is required.

* Experience in oil & gas (or other similarly complex industry) with focus in pipeline & terminal operations is highly desired. * * * Multimedia environmental knowledge of state and federal regulations affecting the function locations is required.

* Knowledge of leadership principles, Water, Air, Safety, and Pipeline regulations required.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interactions both internal and external is required.

* Functional knowledge of Microsoft office required as is the ability to learn and manipulate multiple electronic systems.

* Must be able to operate autonomously and with a high degree of integrity towards both the Core Values of the organization and ethical standards.
