We Require
Three years of IT-related experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field Additional IT-related experience may substitute for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis The Maricopa County Attorney's Office requires a thorough background check for all successful candidates and reserves the right to test prospective employees for the presence of federally illegal drugs

Job Contributions
Design, develop, implement, and maintain applications from concept to ongoing support and continuous improvement. Ensure seamless integration of systems and workflows Lead and collaborate with MCAO IT Division staff, business stakeholders, Criminal Justice partner agencies, and vendors on problem management and development projects, ensuring alignment with business needs and system requirements Evaluate workflows and methods, recommending and executing the most appropriate course of action to implement automated systems and procedures and improve existing systems and processes Identify, diagnose, and resolve complex programming problems. Proactively maintain and troubleshoot production issues, ensuring stability and performance Provide ongoing support for production systems, including after-hours assistance, when needed Estimate time and effort for development tasks, coordinate with project managers, and track progress to ensurethe timely completion of projects Write and maintain technical documentation, including user guides and operational procedures Utilize Azure DevOps and source control best practices to label, package, and deploy applications Cultivate strong relationships with business units, IT staff, external agencies, and vendors to ensure the successful integration and continuous improvement of applications and systems Fulfill report requests
Working Conditions
The Programmer Analyst Senior will maintain an in-person presence during MCAO business hours (Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM), with the flexibility for up to 16 hours of teleworking per week. The role also requires availability outside regular hours via Teams, email, or other communication platforms for urgent issues or critical tasks This position requires resilience under pressure, with the ability to manage multiple complex tasks, meet tight deadlines, and solve problems effectively. The Programmer Analyst Senior will take the lead on projects, mentoring junior staff and ensuring high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effective collaboration across teams and with external partners Success in this role will depend on navigating shifting priorities, addressing technical challenges, and maintaining a professional, positive attitude, even during setbacks. The Programmer Analyst Senior must exemplify the highest professional standards, embodying MCAO values and fostering trust and respect with colleagues and stakeholders
