As our Special Projects Manager, we will count on you to oversee and manage the human services special projects and initiatives, including project development, supervision of subordinate staff, reporting, and compliance. In this role, you will implement and manage the department's quality assurance and customer service alignment. You will develop strategies to improve programs, processes, and operations to support quality customer service, efficiency, and compliance. We Require
Four years of professional administrative experience managing projects and conducting complex analysis One year of supervisory experience Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Public Policy, Business Administration, or a related field Postgraduate degrees or professional-level-related experience may substitute for education or experience on a year-for-year basis

Manages the team implementing the Human Services Department American Rescue Plan Act initiatives and projects, including but not limited to refugee assistance, rural assistance programs, step-down planning, and final grant close-out. Analyzes and recommends improvements to the Department's business and program processes to ensure efficiency, compliance, consistency, and high quality of services; oversees large process improvements throughout the Department. Develops and implements short and long-term strategic department goals and staff development planning through identification of new methods and strategies Manages the Department's Strategic Planning initiatives at the County and Department levels, including but not limited to scoping, drafting, updating, and presenting the Plan Utilizes project management techniques to effectively manage and complete key projects Advises the Director or Assistant Director on special Department projects Researches complex initiatives and develops extensive analytical reports Works collaboratively with all department staff and partners to create mission driven solutions Performs full range of supervisory responsibility, including but not limited to determining work priorities, developing performance plans, monitoring and evaluating performance, coaching staff, and hiring new staff
Working Conditions
Ability to travel to and from job-related locations during a scheduled workday, subject to County policies regarding the use of a County or private vehicles used on County business Valid Arizona driver's license is required upon hire Must secure a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card through the Arizona Department of Public Safety
