The ETF Platform Coverage and Client Consulting Team is part of GSAM's broader ETF Distribution team, which sits within the Client Solutions Group. The team is responsible for developing and nurturing relationships with external and internal platforms as well as enhancing commercial efficiencies, in close collaboration with the ETF Specialist team.

Job Summary & Responsibilities

ETF Client Consultants work closely with the ETF Specialist team responsible for building relationships with Chief Investment Officers (CIOs), research analysts, portfolio managers, consultants and investment advisors across RIA, Independent B/D, Wirehouse, Institutional and Bank channels. ETF Client Consultants support the ETF Specialists, help them scale their commercial efforts, and drive efficiency throughout the distribution process.

Key day-to-day responsibilities include:



  • Partnering with dedicated ETF Specialists and broader distribution teams to drive sales and service clients within the U.S.
  • Employing a data-driven approach to efficiently target opportunities with the highest probability of success. Ability to organize and implement targeted sales campaigns.
  • Conducting proactive phone, virtual, and email outreach to clients and prospects of all sizes, with the goal of raising assets in our ETF complex.
  • Participating in phone, virtual, and in-person meetings with ETF Specialists to consistently follow-up with clients, advance the distribution process and deepen relationships both internally and externally.
  • Serving as a liaison and ETF resource to Goldman Sachs Asset Management colleagues within various distribution channels by developing familiarity, and in time expertise, with our ETF product suite.
  • Embracing digital tools to support relationships and communicate impactfully.



Preferred Qualifications and Experience



  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of experience in the fund management industry
  • ETF sales and marketing experience preferred (e.g. internal sales desk, sales support or direct client-facing experience)

    • Commercial mindset
    • Familiarity with (or strong interest in) the ETF space
    • Ability to quickly grasp product strategies and investment concepts

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    • Ability to draft impactful communications
    • Ability to present one-on-one as well as in group settings

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

    • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
    • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and work autonomously
    • Highly organized with attention to detail and excellent follow-through

  • Agility, drive and a positive attitude
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness, ability to troubleshoot and willingness to multi-task
  • Good judgment relating to risk management, escalation and ethics
  • Comfortable with Excel and PowerPoint. Familiarity with Salesforce, Morningstar and/or Bloomberg a plus
  • Series 7 and 63 licensed strongly preferred

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $100000-$170000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
