The Job
The Senior Financial Analyst reports to the VP of Finance. In this position, you'll be at the core of our financial operations, working collaboratively with the Finance, Accounting, and Operations teams to drive strategic financial planning, analysis, and reporting. You'll play a pivotal role in overseeing our budgeting processes, financial forecasting, and investment planning, ensuring we make data-driven decisions for our thriving enterprise. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical expertise, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication abilities, thriving in a fast-paced environment that offers exposure to a diverse array of financial disciplines.
Responsibilities
  • Assist in the Settlement Process with National Events: compile invoices and pertinent data for the settlement.
  • Develop and maintain detailed item level forecasts and budgets, ensuring alignment with company objectives and providing timely updates on projections.
  • Work with both accounting and finance to fine-tune forecast inputs.
  • Develop functional expertise and understanding nuances of the business.
  • Help grow Finance's reporting capabilities including creating the right data pipelines with cross-functional leaders, and developing insights.
  • Identify opportunities to improve data accuracy and automate reporting.
  • Help optimize and execute our annual budgeting and quarterly re-forecasting processes.
  • Assist with high-visibility internal and external reporting processes, including budget-to-actual variance analysis, and development and monitoring of function-specific operational and financial metrics.
  • Maintain and deeply understand the company financial model.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses to support functional objectives, such as business case development, investment evaluation, identifying topline and margin enhancement opportunities, etc.
  • Performs similar job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required.
  • At least 3+ years in financial planning and analysis.
  • CPA preferred.
  • Must have strong analytical skills which includes the ability to interpret financial data and trends.
  • In-depth understanding of accounting principles and financial statement analysis.
  • Proficiency in management reporting and performance metrics.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and scenario analysis.
  • Strong skills in MS Office, advanced knowledge in Excel, and financial software applications.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally to all levels of management.
  • Ability to present complex financial information clearly.
  • Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment.
  • Must be detail oriented, organized, and able to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Must maintain a high quality in all work including accuracy and timeliness.
  • Excellent ability to communicate effectively with vendors and all levels of management both in writing and verbally.
Physical Requirements
  • Able to work at a computer all day.
  • Ability to talk on the phone as needed.
  • No heavy lifting required.
