CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS



  1. With direction from International Logistics Director, develop and implement international logistics strategies for assigned supply chains consistent with all applicable Business Unit operating plans and objectives.
  2. Subject matter expert to support North America import/export initiatives, supporting sales with appropriate terms of sale.
  3. Provide business unit stakeholders with quotes and landed cost analysis.
  4. Create and distribute quarterly and annual freight spend reports.
  5. Communicate to stakeholders' international logistics strategies, pricing, and market conditions impacting supplies and services.
  6. Act as a liaison between Sherwin-Williams Supply Chain, Export Customer Service, and logistics providers.
  7. Effectively escalate challenges and help provide solutions to mitigate risk in our international supply chains.
  8. Develop and implement cost savings opportunities for air and ocean logistics.
  9. Develop, issue, and analyze RFQ's for assigned international logistics supply chains or those areas directed by International Logistics Director.
  10. Work with International Logistics Director to negotiate and implement sourcing agreements/contracts which help to increase supply assurance, reduce risk, and improve Sherwin-Williams' competitive position in the market.
  11. Assist with managing and retaining relationship with logistics providers to ensure development, consistent performance, and cost control.
  12. Identify and qualify new logistics providers.
  13. Assist with organizing quarterly business reviews with logistics providers.
  14. Other duties & responsibilities as assigned.



POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

FORMAL EDUCATION:

Required:



  • BS / BA Degree in Business, Logistics or Supply Chain related field is required.



Preferred:



  • MBA and / or APICS certification
  • Six Sigma / Lean certification of green belt or above



KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

Required:



  • Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in international air and ocean imports/exports or the administration of import/export supply chains
  • Must be highly proficient in MS Excel and Access


Preferred:



  • Knowledge of hazardous materials
  • Knowledge of International (import/export) transportation routings
  • Knowledge of Inco Term
  • Oracle and or Oracle TMS



TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Strongly preferred:



  • Must have strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple complex projects, concurrently.
  • Must have strong communications skills, both written and verbal.
  • Highly analytical
